Jonathan Campo is an award-winning creative leader and crustacean enthusiast based in Brooklyn.

Born and raised in New Orleans the son of a Cuban refugee, I spent my formative years drawing, noodling on cheap guitars, and painting murals of local hip hop stars on the sides of inner city record stores.

Today, I’m a creative director with over 20 years of experience across a wildly eclectic range of projects. I’ve built brands from scratch for three-person startups and led national campaigns for Fortune 100 companies. I’ve worked across just about every vertical, every deliverable type, and at a smorgasbord of agency acronyms. I’ve led creative teams—big and small—on the agency side, in-house, and at my own creative studio. And I’ve made high-impact, award-winning work in the process.

Most recently, I served as Creative Director at Nom Nom, a premium direct-to-consumer dog food brand (now part of the Mars family). I led a full brand overhaul, built and ran the creative and marketing teams, launched national campaigns, revamped the website, and collaborated cross-functionally to drive acquisition and retention. I also got to attend an unreasonable number of dog shoots. Even Pomeranians.

Before that, I was Creative Director at Ro, the telehealth unicorn. My mandate: transition the brand from promo-heavy, transactional marketing to bold, top-of-funnel storytelling. I led a large creative team through integrated campaigns, commercial productions, new product launches, retail activations, a full brand refresh, and a major MLB partnership—alongside a serious volume of evergreen and performance work.

Prior to Ro, I co-founded Gravy Boat Regatta, a Brooklyn-based creative studio. We built visual identities, launched integrated campaigns, and served as the external creative and marketing arm for startups and large firms alike.

When I’m not working, I’m usually painting, making a silly animation, attempting to entertain his two kids or cooking up some kind of spicy creole thing with an irresponsible amount of butter.

Feel free to Email me any questions and/or encourage me to continue to write overwrought Yelp reviews. I’m very susceptible to flattery.
